5 Simple Ways Maths Teachers Can Use AI

AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude can help Maths teachers save time with lesson preparation and resource creation.

AI should not replace the teacher. It works best as a teaching assistant, helping with repetitive tasks while the teacher checks the Maths, adapts the content and decides what is suitable for the class.

1. Create Practice Questions

Writing sets of Maths questions can take a lot of time.

You can ask AI to create a starting set for you.

For example:

“Create 10 Year 8 questions on finding the area of a circle. Start with easy questions and gradually increase the difficulty.”

You can then check the questions and adapt them for your students.
